In search of new materials

In keeping with its commitment to innovation, A&D has just launched a number of new grades developed in its laboratories: ML340 (for aircraft engine shafts), SDC (for tools), MLX17 and MLX19 (for landing gear), XD15N (for bearings), NYB66 (for corrosion resistance). Aubert & Duval's R&D has just been recognised by receiving orders from the aerospace industry for the first closed-die forging parts manufactured from aluminium-lithium 2050, a product developed in partnership with Alcan.
