For almost 60 years, Aubert & Duval has been working in partnership with French nuclear energy pioneers such as Framatome (formerly AREVA NP) and the CEA. Over the three generations of pressurized water reactors, our forged and rolled metallurgical solutions have been meeting the most stringent requirements of the nuclear industry. Our expertise and manufacturing know-how have gradually earned us a reputation beyond the European borders. Aubert & Duval’s forged and rolled products have also been supplied for experimental reactors such as the RJH and ITER.

Today, our steel and superalloy materials and forged solutions are used in the primary circuit of numerous civil nuclear power plants around the world. We also work with the leading national and European manufacturers of military surface vessels and submarines.

Metallurgical expertise in critical applications

We produce a very broad range of grades from low alloyed steels to Ni-base superalloys, and titanium, in the form of forged or rolled bars, forged semi-finished components, as well as powders for additive manufacturing.

 

We manufacture products according to both French (RCCM, RCCM-MR, RCCM-MX) and US (ASME) nuclear regulations.

Aubert & Duval products cover all types of civil nuclear reactors, Gen II, Gen III, Gen III+, and we are working with our customers on new solutions for Gen IV.

 

Our products are specifically designed and produced for the internals of nuclear vessels, steam generators, primary pumps, and pressurizers. Aubert & Duval is also a major producer of materials used in equipment for nuclear fuel fabrication and retreatment.

Qualifications

Aubert & Duval meets the tightest requirements in terms of grade composition, material integrity, dimensional tolerances and quality control. Quality management complies with the main standards on nuclear markets, RCC-M, ASME and HAF 603.
