Aubert & Duval signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Tri Star Metals

Aubert & Duval signed an exclusive North American distribution agreement for the defense market with Tri Star Metals, a US distributor of stainless steel, nickel alloy, & aluminum bar and wire long products. This collaboration emphasizes Aubert & Duval’s strategy to expands its reach in the defense sector and in particular small calibers market.

The partnership will introduce a range of high-performance proprietary grades of steel, including the proprietary barrel grade ARMAD®, as well as advanced engineered grades tailored for barrels and components critical to defense applications. ARMAD® was developed specifically for small caliber gun barrels.

This high-performance grade offers excellent toughness, thanks to optimized chemical composition and control of the key parameters for melting and processing. This results in higher tensile strength values allowing designers to reduce weight while maintaining safety, even in extreme conditions.
