EcoTitanium

Located in Saint-Georges de Mons, France, EcoTitanium is a joint venture by UKAD (jointly held by Aubert & Duval and UKTMP), ADEME and Crédit Agricole Centre France.
With EcoTitanium, Aubert & Duval’s integrated titanium offer is now a reality in Europe.
Europe’s first aerospace quality grade titanium offer
Aubert & Duval has developed Europe’s first integrated titanium offer in Europe in order to provide aircraft manufacturing customers with a full offering and meet their expectations in terms of vertical integration. The offer is comprised of:
- Ore mining and production of titanium sponge and ingots at UKTMP in Kazakhstan,
- Melting of aviation-grade titanium alloys by recycling scrap and cuttings at EcoTitanium to produce ingots,
- Forging at UKAD,
- Closed die-forging parts at Aubert & Duval.

The only plant of its kind in Europe

Thanks to an innovative process, EcoTitanium® will prevent 100,000 tons of CO2 emissions by consuming 4 times less than the conventional channel for making titanium from ilmenite ore.
EcoTitanium’s activity is based on the creation of a circular economy:
- Aircraft makers and subcontractors return the scrap and cuttings they generated in producing their titanium parts to EcoTitanium
- EcoTitanium makes new titanium ingots from this solid scrap and cuttings. These ingots are processed again in the aviation subcontracting channel.
EcoTitanium is a new activity that reflects the constant commitment of Aubert & Duval and the ERAMET Group to industrial innovation and social and environmental responsibility.
