Medical
Thanks to extremely rigorous raw material selection and the use of a remelting process, Aubert & Duval produces a wide range of high-performance alloys and steels for the manufacture of implants and surgical instruments. Their technical specifications meet the requirements of orthopaedic, spinal and osteosynthesis surgery.
Aubert & Duval strictly adheres to medical standards in terms of grade composition, material integrity, dimensional tolerances and quality control.
Our metallurgical expertise combined with reliable manufacturing processes guarantees the precision and reproducibility of the quality obtained.
Cobalt-based alloys
They are intended for prostheses and trauma implants:
- M64BC: this Cobalt-based alloy with a high Chromium and Molybdenum content offers excellent corrosion resistance. It is particularly recommended for the manufacture of implants that come into contact with living bone tissues but can also be used for medical and surgical devices such as staples and needles.
- XSH : thanks to its ductility, this alloy is used to manufacture bone fixation wires, cardiovascular stents and heart valves.
Austenitic stainless steels
- M30NW: this austenitic stainless steel containing nitrogen combines excellent corrosion resistance and good mechanical properties. It meets the technical requirements for the manufacture of both implants and medical and surgical devices.
High performance stainless steels
They are used to manufacture surgical instruments and accessories
- X15TN®: designed by Aubert & Duval, this extremely hard martensitic stainless steel offers a very good combination between excellent corrosion resistance and high resistance to abrasion or friction. It is perfectly suited to the manufacture of surgical blades.
Our quality commitment: exceed market standards
Thanks to long-standing expertise in critical applications, Aubert & Duval supplies innovative and reliable biocompatible materials that meet the strictest requirements.
