With an annual budget accounting for 4% of the payroll, Aubert & Duval is keen to develop the managerial and technical skills of its 3,900 employees in order to achieve the combined goals of client satisfaction, company performance and career development.

Employees are able to benefit from solid training in their field. This can take the form of an apprenticeship, especially at the company's in-house training centre approved by the French Education Authorities (CQPM training leading to a Diploma* in Forging, Non Destructive Testing, Machining, Melting etc). Through its apprenticeship and placement schemes, A&D has established excellent relations with various schools and universities. In November 2006, the Les Ancizes site celebrated its one hundredth apprentice. The company is one of the founder members of IFMA (Institut Français de Mécanique Avancée) [French Institute for Advanced Mechanical Engineering].
